There are two types of finishing processes for general linen – dry fold and ironed.

Dry fold items such as patient gowns, baby blankets, pajama bottoms, bathrobes and knitted fitted sheets are visually inspected as automated machines fold them. Pieces that require a smooth finish are run through energy-efficient, large piece flat work ironer lines.

A sophisticated conveyor system moves the linen through automatic folders and stackers, reducing staff footwork and increasing productivity.

Both dry fold and ironed items are loaded onto a flow rack to be taken to the cart make-up area.
