London Hospital Linen Service announces its Quality Management System has been certified to ISO 9001, and its Environmental Management System has been certified to ISO 14001.
London Hospital Linen Service (LHLS), Southwestern Ontario’s premier laundry facility serving healthcare partners, is proud to announce the ISO Certification of its quality and environmental management systems.
LHLS’s Quality Management System has been certified to ISO 9001:2008, which outlines a number of requirements that must be fulfilled including verified customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, understanding and conforming to customer requirements, and maintaining a compliant ISO 9001:2008 Quality Assurance System.
“We have always had a strict quality control system,” says John Sealey, Chief Operating Officer, “but the additional structure of ISO 9001: 2008 is underlining our commitment to continuous quality improvement and is added assurance to our customers and employees that we follow internationally accepted standards.”
LHLS is committed to creating a more sustainable future. The company’s EcoCare program, formally launched in 2005, is LHLS’s promise that in everything they do, they strive to reduce their impact on the environment, make their workplace better, safer and healthier for employees, and be a caring corporate member of the community.
As part of its focus on sustainability, London Hospital Linen Service was successful in its goal to have its Environmental Management System certified to ISO 14001:2004.
“ISO 14001 is a framework that will systematically measure, monitor and minimize the environmental impact of our operation,” says Sealey. “Building on our ISO 9001:2008 certification, ISO 14001:2004 certification is further evidence of our efforts to continually improve our processes and further minimize the impact our business activities have on the environment.”
